I agree Ian. Another note is that the naga head looks like a lesser quality lead based white metal with a glass eye.

As others have noted, these have become ubiquitous on eBay. Modern Thai stuff for "those who travel for pleasure."

I wouldn't classify the pommel as a naga. More like a generic dragon.

Drdavid, don't feel bad: many of us have picked up one of these (or similar) at one point.
