A mis-matched keris.

I was watching this one too and almost bid on it for the blade alone, though i would have liked to pay less considering the mismatch. Looks like a nice old Javanese blade. Has anyone ever seen a lizaed skin wrap on a keris sheath before?

Nechesh, if it was say half the price, I might consider... Then maybe you can have the blade and I take the sheath, at 60:40 ratio.

However, why it is covered with lizard skin remains? Was it to increase value? To hide a damaged/defect portion?...
