Since a very long time I am a collector of French and British pocket and Queen Anne pistols. So I am able to show three double barreled side-by-side pistols of French origin of about 1750.
The shortest of the three has 18cm in length, the longest 19,5cm and this one is made by the French gunmaker Pierre TURGE in Nantes. The other pistols are unsigned, but one has silver mountings with the the hallmark of Paris for the year 1768.
