			I got this yesterday and as usual don't know exactly what it is. Any help is appreciated.

			Hi Terry: I agree with Battara. This is a kris-like knife that probably comes from the Yakan people of Basilan Island. The style of rattan wrap to the scabbard is, I have been told by art dealers in Manila, typical of their craft work. There are also many Yakan living in Zamboanga City in southern Mindanao, and your knife may well have originally come from there as it is a popular tourist destination and these items were produced as mementos for purchase by visitors to the region.
