I went through the referenced thread and others referenced therein. The question of Java or Bali came up quite a bit and also the question of whether the examples from Bali are properly called Wedung or something else.

good catch. To answer your question: The knife is from Bali and called tiuk pengentas. There seems indeed something missing at the handle. Regards, Detlef |
