I suspect it's a replacement because the form is simply not traditional. It is not unusual for kaskara to be modified in Europe to more closely resemble "medieval" swords. More images would certainly help. :-) The blade and guard are likely 19th century.

Thank you for those aditionnal informations. I found it a good proposal that somebody managed to make this sword look like a mediaval sword. I will post more pics ASAP to clarify this fact. Best Cerjak |
