A pair of Turkish knives

I find it very interesting how this form of knife crosses so many countries around the Mediterranean sea. Also elsewhere in the world, what is called a mature design, it is hard to change the form and still function in the same way. Are the grips horn and the same age as the blades? Tim

They look a bit like the Corsican vendetta knives, don't you think ?

Yes the grips are horn and original. Steel has the same finger curves too. I guess all Mediterennean types were mainly used by street fight, not for a certain killing but to wound, from some distance for own safety.
