Nice find Barry,
It seems to be something written in Jawi? It is quite rare but I recall that we have seen a mandau here on the forum before with both jawi and "magic squares" on its blade (from one of the Dutch collectors here). I have also seen another one in a Danish collection. So to summarize, it seems to be a very rare phenomenon - congratulations! Michael |
