			Hi Forum. Can anyone help ID this Knife? It has a 36cm Blade and is stamped with the Owners name and a Regiment? Any help gratefully recieved |

			Very nice example. Mas Kartadimadja is probably the maker and it is as Carlos mentioned made in Tjikeroeh, Java. See the item as a bring back souvenir for the Dutch soldiers. Maybe a utility knife for Dutch civilians working and living in Indonesia. Certainly not a militairy weapon. |

			First let me state what a wonderful piece you have! I had just come back from a show late last night, so to relax, I went to the forum to see what had been newly posted, which is my customary habit;when I saw your piece and the postings of the other forum members, I almost fell out of my chair ! I had picked up a sword from the show,which I wasn't sure what it was and "lo and behold," an instant answer.Any chance you guys could give up 6 winning lottery numbers? |
