I certainly don't intend attempting any restoration soon. As it happens, I picked up a couple of other less important swords along with this one (I will post images of them for comment soon) which will be better suited for an initial effort.

As I live in Australia, I suspect professional sword straighteners are rather thin on the ground. Do any Australian members know of anyone who could help?
