Again a series of great pictures of a fascinating subject. In a way, these old defence works and what they represented or more correctly, supressed, is what led to my interest in Ethnic weapons. The wars and conflicts fought between Imperial powers and indigenous populations caught my imagination at a young age, and these dramatic structures made the words of history dance from the pages of many a dusty books. You are very welcome Robert. Glad that you have enjoyed the various pics. Living in NZ, it is not easy and quite expensive for us to get to Europe to see the historical sites there, but Asia is much closer, and very much cheaper, so many of us Kiwis head in that direction. However it still takes $$ so travel is not that regular unfortunately.
