One of my favorites!
In additional to the clearly visible sun and running wolf marks - I'd point out the sickle marks (often referred to as Genoese) applied in two sets of pairs, as seen in the last image. If I'm not mistaken, this is the earliest complete kaskara documented. |

..I think it must be one of the earliest. The picture, from 1821, shows a King of Sennar.

Not to be too obvious but does that mean that silver hilted kaskaras belonged to rulers?
