the top of the helmet is riveted, see picture.
the helmet is in one piece... so the tissue or cloth was pasted, see the picture of the fragment I retrieved. dastana there are small holes has different places...and chain mail is 6 mm in diameter |

Those images are better, the char aina and the dastana look much older close up. I have measurements of an adult dastana that are like yours but with decorations, they are 12.5 in (31.75 cm) long and 3 in (7.62 cm) across the wrist, how does that compare to yours?

Weapons 27, here are the measurements for the char aina I posted with the yellow back round. Front 11-1/8 inches (28.25cm) x 9-3/4 inches (24.76 cm), Side 11-1/8 inches (28.25cm) x 5-3/4 inches (14.60 cm), Back 11-1/8 inches (28.25cm) x 10-1/8 inches (25.71 cm). Inside diameter 11-1/22 inches (29.21 cm) x 9-1/2 inches (24.13 cm). Maybe the men were small? |
