The description was quite honest ; no 'story' attached .

There's no accounting for prices on ebay .

Possibly the same bidders would turn their noses up at a genuine antique example .

Go figure .

I was also watching this auction in amazement. Seems like a hefty price for such a new kris of fairly low quality manufacture. I hope it's new owner knew what he was buying.

Well, I agreed with that assessment. I just didn't make the connection between it being a tourist piece and zamboanga's definition.

Uuuh, my first thought was: "That are the ugliest luks I've seen in a while!"
I wonder wether a slow-learning apprentice needed several tries at grinding them and ended up with such a slender blade.
