New to me .
 I can't imagine how difficult this was to make . There appears to be a sepuhan(?) halfway up the wilah . An old keris . |

A nice keris indeed. Only pamor on gonjo is a little bit out of control.
Here a Riau keris with Adeg Wengkon. Sometimes you encounter Sumatran and Peninsula kerisses with some difficult kind of Pamor, which is fairly well done. Last edited by Gustav : 13th April 2012 at 01:43 PM. Reason: picture quality improved |

Well executed Adeg Wengkon..I don't want to comment its making process because I am no more than keris lover. I have shared a blade with interesting pamor, probably anybody can tell me what is pamor's name.

Well, I still like it very much, Jussi .
I think the dress has a nice combined 'presence' ; in keeping with the quality of the Wilah . I guess when I look at The Solyums' book and I see the size of the rough forging required, then think that somewhere in there when this particular blade was forged was pre-planned this keris ... Good pamor work, yet looks to me like a new keris artificially (and aggressively) aged.
A pity, it would be not a bad keris in original state. |

Yes, in the pics it does look recent, but I don't think it is. I cannot know with any certainty from the pics and would need to handle it, but there are a number of stylistic characteristics that are at variance with current production keris. It would not surprise me if this keris does have a bit of age. |

the wengkon's on my blade is firmly borded vertical arround pamor. thats why on some point we can see clearly the space (gap) between pamor, wengkon, and the iron
Gustav, i'm agree with Alan that mine is the old blade. splitted iron is on the edge (pucukan) will attached some more pics in advance |
