Thumbs up

I BOUGHT ONE OF THESE IN BALI, THE CARVING WAS VERY NICE THE BLADE SERVICIBALE AND BEST OF ALL THE PRICE WAS RIGHT. YES IT IS MADE FOR TOURISTS AND THERE ARE QUITE A LOT OF THEM AROUND BUT SOME THINGS MADE FOR TOURISTS ARE STILL COOL ENOUGH TO OWN ONE.
THE MAIN MEMORY OF MY SWORD IS THAT THE LOCK ON MY HARD SIDED SUITCASE MALFUNCTIONED IN BALI AND JAMMED SHUT. I USED MY SWORD TO OPEN MY SUITCASE AND REMOVE THE LOCK, WITH THE ADDITION OF A BIT OF DUCT TAPE I WAS READY TO GO AGAIN.
I WOULD NEVER HAVE USED A GOOD OLD ANTIQUE FOR SUCH A JOB BUT HAD NO QUAMS ABOUT USING THIS SWORD AS IT COULD BE REPLACED. THE SWORD WAS NOT HARMED SO WOULD HOLD UP AS A WEAPON IF CALLED UPON.
