Cockfighting is the national past time in the Philippines. When the word "cockpit" is mentioned it has nothing to do with a jet airplane. And which Philippine city has the most number of cockpits? Zamboanga!

Some cockfighting facts:

The fighting-cock almost became the American national emblem. It lost by one vote to the American eagle.

Some famous cockfighting afficionados: Julius Caesar, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln (was a cockfighting referee).
