Thanks so much for your posts. There seems to be a wide variety of these delightful pieces. Your help is much appreciated.
Dom, those last two really resemble mine.

I obtained this knife from a Peace Corps worker who spent over a year with the Tuareg. The knife was a gift to him from the tribe. The blade is 7 3/4 inches and total length 13 inches incl. scabbard.
