Dom, those picture are made in the Topkapi palace.
A.alnakkas, I cann't tel you if these three european blades are replica's, but those swords are the so called two handers and a bit larger than a common sword. |

I've heard alot of two-handers and seen them on pictures alot. Never thought they are THAT big.
On topic: isnt the drawing of Prophet david (pbuh) in persian style? I personally doubt that those are authentic but surely they are lovely pieces. At best i'd trace them back to the abbasid period which is historically known for using the Family of the Prophet as propaganda so its kinda logical that they would use such swords attributed to the Prophet (pbuh) |
