 Indeed on the one hand, it strikes me as Luzon, too. On the other hand, the hilt shape (i.e., cylindrical) and ornamentation (the 'dots') are not typically Filipino. That's why I had some doubts. But now that you mentioned it, perhaps it really is a Luzon dagger. Thanks.

Shape of the handle throws off... but yeah, most likely filipino. Is it carabao horn.

I agree Luzon, perhaps even Ilokano, but very recent, certainly post WWII (note the thin aluminum spacers).

Hi there.
I have some pictures of a dagger of very similar design here. I acquired it from a person who said it of middle-eastern origin, though I'm not sure if that is a fact or a guess. Here is my number Number 5  I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this reply
