			What a great piece!   The stone looks like a piece of carved colored glass, especially by the way the "stone" cracked. I will check to see if it could be some other kind of stone with that kind of cracking, just in case. |

			Looks like coloured glass to me.  I think copper with alkaline frit produces this colour?

			Yes Tim, you are right - copper is a chemical component for this color.

			beautiful dagger!  Can I beg a close-up pic of the back side of the leather(??) hanger and how it attaches to the throat-ring on the sheath?  Thanks in advance!   Way cool lil sword!
