Looks like the blade has an ujung gunung pamor at the base. Quite unusual for a non-Bugis/Malay blade, I thought.

Hi Guy,s,
Yes i stained it quite quick, the solustion is strong so it don,t take a lot of time. the rust was also easy to remove. There is Ujung Gunung on both side,s , but it won,t come out verry clear , i don,t know why? it,s a pitty. Here some photo,s of the sheat . |

Hi Danny,
like I write you yesterday by e-mail: When the blade fit good inside the sheath I would suggest to restore it, it's a nice timoho sheath and the wood is expensive. It depend from the material how strong the contrast come out by warangan. Best regards, Detlef |
