Hello Tim,

In the first pic you posted, the top and bottom inscription both read "What God Wills, Happens"

The Inscription on the right reads "God"
The inscription on the left reads "Muhammad"

The inscription in the center says "And we gave you an astounding conquest", which I believe is a verse from the qur'an.

The second pic, the cartouche reads "What god wills".

I believe the weapons you have here, according to Anthony C. Tirri's "Islamic Weapons, Maghrib to Moghul" are Sudanese copies of Persian weapons, check page 75 for further referance.
