Hello David,
like you know I am not an expert but what I can see by the pictures is that the motif at hilt, bone (look indeed like bone) pice and band at the scabbard is adequate, isn't it? And the silver band at the scabbard seems to have some age and my guess is that the fittings are not recent but I think later work as the blade. What I can see by the pictures it is a nice looking kris and to use the words from Rick, when the price isn't over the moon..... ![]() ![]() Regards, Detlef |

The hilt, baka-baka, and scabbard are all later work. Only the blade is old.

Hullo David,
I've seen one very similar, half straight with 5 curves and a straight handle. The stirrup, ferrule and pommel were brass. The grip was wound with twine with a conical pommel. My guess is that the fittings/scabbard on yours are post-WWII. Best, |
