Well, that's reassuring. I'm eyeing a kindjal at the moment, and by doing a research in this forum, i was surprise at how rampant are the forgeries on these swords. Somehow, i was thinking about yataghans, and nothing is mentioned about these swords being faked... thanks!

Kindjals seem to be more easily faked. Yats are little harder to fake and so far not worth it. Perhaps not enough interest in them to fake.

I noticed from India and also, recently from Syria, a large quantity of Shamshir and Pala copies either recycling old blades and added gold/ koftgari, with new hilt and without scabbard or India new wootz blade with also gold/ koftgari, with scabbard e.i. ![]() an other one, priced ...
