As for the arm dagger it is a nice example from Khartoum/Omdurman Circa 1924 (1342)? Daggers from this area were made in this style with a long narrow triangular blade that were flat ground but a few also had central ribs forged into the blade. The fish motif on the blade has something to do with the Nile river but I can't be sure. Here are a few other examples for comparison from Khartoum circa 1898-1920.Congrats on some nice pieces. |
