Hello All,

I got those lately:

1- Genoui:

A decent moroccan dagger with an authentic blade.

2- Kurdish Khanjar:

Btw, the seller said that it might be wootz, it shows some lines but its heavily pitted so will try to get better pictures.

(will post more soon)

Pics were definately there when I looked 12 hours ago
Maybe some overcleaning in the meantime?? :(

Haha, Lew removed them because it was against the rules so will try to make the pictures smaller and upload them through the attachment option.

Gentlemen I removed the pictures because they were hot linked to photo bucket. It is very important that photos be uploaded directly as to keep the vikingsword archives intact. :)

A.alnakkas thank you :) As for the arm dagger it is a nice example from Khartoum/Omdurman Circa 1924 (1342)? Daggers from this area were made in this style with a long narrow triangular blade that were flat ground but a few also had central ribs forged into the blade. The fish motif on the blade has something to do with the Nile river but I can't be sure. Here are a few other examples for comparison from Khartoum circa 1898-1920.

Congrats on some nice pieces.

Thanks Lew! I am fund of Sudanese Items. It has this "feeling" of being both practical and beautiful.
