Default African Spear Shaped Paddles for Comment/Info

Hi All,

While driving to the store I saw a sign saying “Estate Sale” so I went in to have a look (because you never know, you know). I walked out with these two African paddles.
I think they are 19th to early 20th century. Can anyone confirm this? Can anyone id geographic area and people?
There is very recent damage to the tip of one which I would like to repair. Does anyone know what type of wood these paddles were made of?

Sincerely,
RobT

Great looking paddles! The ends of the handles remind me of the Somali Billao daggers that some say represented stylized minarets.
