Default Strange Philippines keris

I got this keris recently as it is quite peculiar
It is not so old. No antique I'd guess made in the last 60 years,

I'm confident it's from the Philippines.
But i could be wrong.
I think Mindanao.
Bug it doesn't resemble anything from Sulu. Where the keris have established motifs.
It has a one piece scabbard. That is it is sold not two halves and the slot for the blade has been boarded in .
The scabbard is wrapped with iron wire. There is an odd figure carved on the side.
The ferrule is brass and more like that if a baron or a daab.
The mythical beast on the pommel is common on Philippino weapons especially in the Visayas ..
Anyone know the province of this dagger. I feel like I've seen its type before but i just can't think where

This is not a keris or kris. Just having a wavy blade is not what determines a keris. A number of key elements are missing from this blade to call it a keris.

I'd agree with Jeff. The pommel is a Lasara (sp?).

I am with Jeff, it's a modern interpretation of a si euli from Nias.

See here: http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showth...highlight=euli & http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showth...highlight=euli

Attached are pics of my antique example, the ferrule is missing.

Haha yeah ! Totally forgot it. Brain got foggy. I was thinking western Mindanao in some areas or eastern Indonesia
Obviously nias too 🤣. Got it yesterday night with some other tribal things including some from Mindano.
Couldn't miss those big old nias chompers on the carving. Even on the antique ones it's quite a chunky pair of teeth.
Comparison

Keris like objects..

In fact these daggers have been discussed here before. I'd totally forgotten them!
The less keris like daggers

I like the little monkey dude on the side, I think it is the same one often riding the Lasara. The blade was likely originally from a keris - do you sign of pamor?
