I was being lazy

so I went to the books.........as Ariel notes these shaped bar hilt katars are known as 'garsoe jamadhar' (Pant, 1980, #415,416). Pant insists that the term jamadhar is the correct term for 'katar' and that Egerton transposed the term.
Apparantly these are from regions in Bhuj, Gujerat and Sind. Seems unusual to see wootz on these to me at least, but as noted Jens will know far more as these have been his field of study for many years.
I just wanted to add a little perspective to this nice example beyond the katar classification. I wonder what the meaning of the garsoe term might be, hopefully some input on that will be entered.
