Hello Tim, the mould is actually made from bronze. Which is also amazing as it is surprisingly sophisticated for being close to 3000 years old !

Don’t know if I’d necessarily consider it arms related but possibly could be. A Bronze Age socketed axe head mould dating from the Ewart Park phase of the late Bronze Age which is around 900-700BC....

Yes, most of the screws on the piece are round topped. Only a few of the screws are flat topped which could be replacements. I’ve included a better angle showing the round screws

I am trying to post more pictures but it’s saying the file extension is wrong ? Also when choosing the sizes of the images they are all to large but no option for smaller size
