But hi started to use the surname Lichtenberg after 1904, he was 44 years old at that time... that would make hi a quite old...

I don't think so. Yours is a spanish, late 19th century reiterpretation of a classic mudejar style sword, I don't think you can call it that way, as it has nothing to do with with classic european...

Karabela with most interestin engravings
I had the opportunitiy today, to observe a most interesting karabela sword. It was found in Postumia, famus for its caves resort, and for its tummultus history.
The owner let me to take some shots....
