This is the coat-of-arms of Strassburg (Strasbourg), the free city of the 17th century :D , now Capital of Europe !

Great Helm late 14th century ?

Hello,

Here are some pics of an antique Great Helm (of the Pembridge type). It was sold for 8,000 £ by a very famous auction house (a long time ago), and expertized as being late 14th century....

When in hands, it finally appears that this is a pair of outstanding wheellock pistol replicas (possibly made in turkey or afghanistan ?) !!!

'A' and 'K' barrel marks also found on a 1592 Puffer pistol from Trabanten Leib Guard

For information, I found the same 'A' and 'K' barrel marks on a German Puffer wheellock pistol (dated 1592) from the Trabentan Leib guard of Christian II (Puffer pistol at Bolk antiques).
