What a lovely daab! Thank you for posting it, Bancha Thongkomol. Even though the photo is a bit blurred, the crisp detail of the handle fittings can be clearly seen. Are they solid silver? :eek: They are absolutely beautiful, in any case.

Is Nakornsrithammarat known for a particular style of blade or decoration, or as a sword-making center in general? Are there particular features that distinguish this daab as being from that area, or is Nakornsrithammarat simply its known historical provenance? I see a similarity in the handle fittings to the Ayutthaya style (or what I think of as the Ayutthaya style), though in this one the details appear to be more defined and in higher relief.

Sorry for all of the questions, but I am easily excited by nice daab! :D
