Members of this forum might be interested to know that the Munich auctioneers, Hermann Historica, are selling some (at least) of Michael's collection in their next sale, starting on 6 November.

I would urge people to let the items pass by... not only are they overpriced but the auctioneer and consignor are playing these sales over the reputation of our old friend.
And this after the consignor repeatedly promised not to sell anything trough auction.. Michaels legacy is beeing consumed by greed, i myself wont be part of that.. everyone is free to do as they please though.

I just looked at the auction catalogue, and was sickened to my stomach to see one of Michael's moist prized possessions, his Tusco _Emilian snapping matchlock up for sale.
Has the consignor no conscience?

Indeed, the world seems to be run my greed these days.
As an aside, this gun is very special to me, but will not bid of course.

Honestly, I feel sick! want to cry.

Richard.

For as incongruent as this appears, this is the fate of things. It was Michael's wish that the actual consignor had his collection by will. Most probably he (Michael) wouldn't realize where it would end. But, to put it simple, the need for money and the absence of interest from a non collector resulted in what we sadly observe.

Look for "Trömner-Abensberg" in the texts.

Thank you. I looked up the forums about the gun and it would also be on my banlist.
