Hello everyone, my first post on the site
I got this sword that was collected in Tunisia about 1970.
Length 65,9 cm, blade 80 cm. Weight 610 g, blade only 505 g. Wood hilt seems to be frequent in Tunisia and Libya.
After a first cleaning it shows the classic pattern of European productions on the blade, very good quality engraving I think. Easy disassembly of the hilt it was observed 4 stamps on tang. View various pictures and a graphic reading test. Do you have any information about those marks ? Solingen ? 17th c. – 18th c. ?
Best regards
