Hello,
let me introduce a Hirschfanger with an old Pallasch blade. The horn hilt has a beautiful carving of a hunting scene with hunter, dogs and deer.
The blade is even more interesting - originally a Pallasch (broadsword) blade cca. 1740, Austria or Germany (Baden?). On one side with a engraving Vivat Printz August, on the other side Hannibal above a warrior figure.
A broadsword with a similar engraving was sold at Hermann Historica in 2006 (lot. no. 4176), attributed as Cavalry Broadsword from Baden.
All the best!
