my family "Mamluk" becomes big,
your dagger joined his little comrade :D
they look good together ... NO ?
(still yet job around ... specially blade)
but ... the last step ...
the "Pala" risk of being very hot ... :o
I would see it later, I have plenty of time .... :p

I looked at it but I could not figure out anything. When it is arabic there is little hope unless it is a verse from the Quran or hadith which I know. :shrug:

Well i cant read it. The first word seems like "La" which means "No" so it could be many things.

the inscription is unreadable and seems that it suffered losses. Beautiful pieces and if i ever seen the sword i will let you know Dom. I remember seeing one on SF a while ago...

in 2008 one Pala with same decor; corals + turquoises
has been sold at "hermann-historica"...
started at 6 K€uros and ended at 44K€uros :eek:

a price for a very nice car ... :rolleyes:

be passioned, YES ... be crasy, NO ...

in every way, you are good companions :p

after some refurbishing ... mainly on scabbard
renovations incomplete, the blade would need a polishing severe
too many black spots, and the metal is severely attacked
but I have neither the tools, and more particularly the qualities to undertake such a job :o
I'd wait to go to Istanbul, in default of, Damascus, if that last country is still suffering
