I bought some time ago, these spears. Can someone assigned on the basis of images of spears tribes? Greetings chregu

Top spear is hard to tell but the second is Danakil I have a similar one in my collection.

I would think these are circa 1890s-1910 we do not give estimates on current market value on the open forum but you can send me a private message if you would like. If you can take a picture of all the spears together standing against a wall full length shot it would be of more help in identifying them.

The spears are all I have. As a size comparison, the door is 2.02 m

The two at the at the far right are Danakil the one at the far left seem to be Sudanese. I will check my books on the others.

The two Somali/Danakil spears are very nice (I thing they are geographically out of the group of the other spears). Enclosed please find copy of an article from "African Arms and Armour" by C. Spring.

Very nice set and I would agree with the other comments. It is possible that they are all from the very south of Sudan and borders. Especially the shorter ones which are often listed as Mangbetu Congo, too me the border is a very modern concept.
