Default MA G DA RA ?

Now that I hopefully have your attention, I would like to share this nice but generic Kampilan. There isn't anything especially remarkable about it except on the handle are the letters "MA G DA RA."Is this a place, a name, etc.?If anyone knows, I would appreciate their help.

A quick Google search indicates that "Magdara" is a surname around Maguindanao and Lanao areas.

Thanks;I tried the same thing & didn't get anything,It could be a bring back from the WW2 Battle of Maguindanao against the Japanese or from the Battle of Lake Lanao in 1902 against the Moros.
