Judging by the amount of aluminum vs brass used, maybe it wasnít readily available or possibly a post-WWII addition / replacement.

An unusual Luzon sword.

Unusual to me since I donít recall ever seeing one that had a similar blade profile.
Blade is close to 25 inches in length.

Would be nice to know it the blade is laminated or pattern welded.
