Default jambia for identification

can you tell me the origin, persian ???

It measures 35 cm long, the blade is 21 cm long and is in Damascus, the bone handle

Interesting dagger. Looks like a Sudanese khanjar, could use clearer shots of the blade :-)

I would agree looking at the medial ridge and the bone grip.

I have essaye to photos with the flash but is not successful, I try tomorrow in broad daylight....^



the blade has a thicker Central Ridge

As Gav said, yep this is Sudanese. It seems to have lost the thuluth etching though. Its an interesting piece because generally those come with thin blades, this has a nice thick one :-)

If you look closely at the last few photos, the thuluth is still faintly visible.
