Default stone axe

Hi

A picker i buy from with sent me these pictures of a stone axe he came across.

we are in lock down for awhile so i will not be able to see item in hand.

It looks from the patina on the handle to have some age to it
the stone head seems to have metal bands to stop the stone cutting into the haft of the handle (I have photo shopped some red lines to indicate what i am referring to)

any idea of origin, age and originality of the item

Outside my normal area of interest but the drug of acquiring new items is driving me to purchase things so i have new toys to examine after lock down

regards to all and i hope you are all doing as well as expected

Ken
