Default An Unusual Handgonne in the Musée de l'Armée, Paris

This one is highly unusual for missing even the tiniest clear fomal dating criterion.
Although the description states it is of Western European provenance and ca. 1400, I doubt that it was made there. To me it rather looks like South East Asia.

Any comments?
