Default Mandau restoration and repairs

I have a few mandaus that need some minor (?) repairs. like rebinding of rattan on the hilt and scabbards and putting new resin on hilt.

Can anyone here suggest where I can get these done in Malaysia or Indonesia?

If i might suggest, it would probably be best for members to contact Green through PM with suggestions of possible renovators so that this thread does not become a source of competitive commerce.

Can you attach some picture of mandaus you need to repair Green? I live in Pontianak, Borneo and know some mandaus craftmen. He will be pleased to handle your old mandau. Just giving you recommendation.

I personally don't care if the resin ring is missing. I rather have the original old resin ring (if still present, but mostly missing).
If, because of use the resin ring is missing somehow, I prefer no resin ring at all, instead of a restoration.
But that is a matter of personal taste I suppose...

Best,
Maurice

Thanks for the reply Primusnarang. I would appreciate very much if you can pm me the contacts for the mandau craftsmen . I live near kuala lumpur but would be happy to fly to Pontianak if needed and would be happy to meet you as well.
