Default sword hilt

i am trying to repair the grip of a sword and cannot find any information on how to leather wrap a medieval sword hilt. any help would be appreciated.

Rawhide is probably more appropriate than cured leather, and it'll shrink in place. As to how they pulled off their teeny tiny guild dude stitching; good luck. Oh, and glue; get you some glue. They probably used hide glue, but that's a guess.
