Default Khanjar al Saidi

Goodday,

I would like to ask the wise members of this forum for their advise on a khanjar a colleague of mine has had in the family for 3 generations.
All I know about the khanjar is it was acquired in Tanzania, some decades ago.
Age at time of buying is not known, therefore I would like to have your opinion on a possible date of production.
Also, the khanjar needs to be restored, does it seem worth the effort?
Your input is highly appreciated
