Default Kliau

My second purchase at the L.A.F

I don't think it is particularly old, but I am glad to have it as they are not very common.

Why do you think that it don't have a good age? The patination at the handle look quite good!

Nice. well made shield.

The overall appearance does not look like a very old shield.
But as said. well made and not a tourist item.

Do you have a close up of the handle ?

Default Good shield!

Beautifull shield!

I think it is always very difficult to tell if these kind of plain shields are old or not.

Most of the very old shields I have seen, always some ratan is damaged and/or gone.

It could be that Roy's shield is collected early and older as we think, but in very good condition.

Definately not for tourists.
I think it is an attractive shield, which would give a very nice display with a beautifull mandau.

When looking at the handle, does it look like patina, or does it look like there is some lacquer on it? If not, than it is nice and shiny of use...(but hard to tell from your close-up image).
