Smile Poor Man's Karud ?

Comments ?
Age ?
The karud itself is incredibly tight and sturdy .
The forging of the T spine is atrocious; still the point is as sharp as a needle and the edge is keen .
Blade 11 3/4"
Overall 16 3/4"

Good barn sale .

Was this barn anywhere near Kabul?

Looks like it'll clean up OK, nice workmanlike dagger. You wouldn't want it up you!

Talking

Nope !
Not Nepal neither ............
Staid old New England where my ancestors fled to from Leiden so many years ago .

A lucky cell call from a friend who was out doing the weekend yard sales with his Wife .
Lor' luv 'im .

Ahhh, to clean, or not to clean ...
Put lanolin on the horn scales , there is crude decoration on the bolsters .
If I take it too far I'm afraid I'll lose the 'funk' of this one . It's not every day that you get to see the Poor Folks' version of this kind of form .

This is not wootz we're talking here ... more like a Villager or Drover's daily carry .

Anyone up for resto and recovering the scabbard in the traditional way ??
For short money ?????????

I think these are rather nice! Are the scales horn? I'd assumed Camel bone.
