Default Identifying markings on North West Railway bajonet

Hello,

I have a bajonet with the markings NWR 42 (National West Railway 1942) from India - British Empire. It is used for the MKI? or MKII? Enfield rifle

On the blade it self scratched in there is a II with a star. Does this mean it is for the MKII ? or what would it mean

On the hilt there is also a marking SA 50, what could this mean? Springfield Armory and then 50? This would mean this one is made in the USA

The scabbard holds the marking CIW 1941 and CA391, and what do these marking mean?

Thank you in advance for all your help!

Hi estrij,

It has been a week and nobody has responded yet to your questions. This is probably because this forum seldom discusses modern military weapons. The occasional kukhri or Chindit machete are perhaps the closest we come to the subject of this thread.

Thank you. I was already not quite sure if I could find an answer here.

Thank you for the redirection.

Regards,
